Genoa Township Land Conservation Association currently is preserving and protecting 107 acres of natural and scenic resources in the following areas.

Covington Meadows

Covington Meadows includes 47 acres of preserved meadowland and is located between Old 3C Hwy. and Tussic Road, north of the Freeman Road intersection. The public walking path winds through lovely meadowlands filled with wildflowers, prairie grasses, and many birds and small animals.

Grand Oak

Grand Oak, grandoak.org, includes 46 acres of beautifully preserved old growth forest and is located north of Big Walnut Road behind Walnut Creek Elementary School, west of Worthington Road. The public can access the walking paths from Grand Oak Blvd. just behind the school or east of the school. Other paths begin at Harrow Glen Drive north of Edgebrook Drive, and at the intersection of Braymoore Drive and Grandmere Blvd. This area is a beautiful old growth forest with many large mature trees, wooded ravines, creeks, and wetlands. Deer, small animals, and birds are often seen on a walk along these paths.

Willow Bend

Willow Bend contains 14 acres of preservation land containing a creek, and many small animals and deer frequent the area as well. The public walking path can be accessed from Lynbrook Lane, Piermont Court, or off of Salem Drive just before Ridgewood Avenue, and follows along the periphery of the Willow Bend development.
